Beautiful long spread of a beach with a harbor. There are different entry points. It’s perfect for a long jog or walk. There are bathrooms in certain parts of the beach. We come to visit and use the harbor to load kayaks into the water. There are signs that warn of strong current & waves and swimming is not recommended. I swim alot of beaches but never this one. Only experienced surfers venture out. There are many sea animals to watch including seals, otters, dolphins, whales, sharks and birds. There’s nice sand dune vegetation. You can capture a gorgeous sunset here. There’s specific places on the beach you can take your dog because this beach has endangered bird species that breed there spring, summer and fall.

Came here to see the sunset! It was amazing to watch I forgot to take photos so I took afterwards as dusk is setting in. The beach is clean and fresh. The sound of the waves crashing up against the shore line is nothing but spectacular! There are signs showing you what you can and cannot do on this beach. Mostly to just clean up after yourself and to not go over the ropes/fencing!!! The waves here are definitely worth catching if you bring a board!!! A lot of folks where out fishing as well. Definitely recommend this cute little spot right off a hidden road!!!

I enjoy coming here to look at all the beautiful shells and rocks and seeing ladybugs crawling on the sand or seaweed. There’s so much life here at this beach. My 5 year old daughter also has much to explore here and because she’s homeschooled it turns into a whole science activity/lesson! It’s usually windy and overcast the times I have gone but I’m sure it warms up nicely in the summer time. Dress in layers!

The parking is free and there is about 30 places. You can also park on the small street which gives about 50 more spots. There are two construction toilets. The way to the beach is very sandy hence it is not possible to push a cart or stroller. However, it takes about 5 minutes of walk so you may be fine carrying your stuff. It was mostly empty when we went at the end of April. Lot of wind, bring a jacket. The sand is clean, the beach is not deep but very large.

My favorite go to beach, quieter than Santa Cruz beaches. Lots of wildlife to view. Otters, pelicans seagulls seals surfers sailboats fishing boats. Great inlet where you can watch the boats. Lots of kayakers. Nice Long Beach for walking. People fishing on the beach. Restaurants across the water in Moss landing. I’m a professional artist and I come here to paint. It’s beautiful and quiet. Lots of parking. Only a port a potty though.

We had a sudden plan to go to Moss Landing beach heard & passed by several times but never visited so thought of checking it out & boy we were so glad to be here. Weather was wonderful, not too many people before noon felt as if we had the beach for ourselves. Nice to hear the waves & sea otters completely relaxed seriously I didn’t feel like leaving the place....it’s my new favorite place to visit for unwinding 😊& also had our early lunch at Phil’s Fish Market. Once awhile sudden plans leaves us with beautiful memories it was surely one of that moments .... can’t wait to do it soon ... Also on our way back we passed through several Artichoke farms & farm stand it was a wonderful drive.

This peaceful reserve is full of beauty and wildlife. Moss Landing state beach is summer to several species of plants, birds and sea life. You will find barking sea lions, sea otter paddling around, several species of plants and a wide range of bird life. It is one of the most unique ecosystems on earth. Enjoy the wildlife along the shore or savor a quiet walk along the trails. The parking is free and plentiful. This could be a great low budget date spot. Being a picnic and chairs or tailgate out of the back of a truck or SUV. Enjoy the beautiful scenery while getting to know each other better. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
